Have you ever taken the test to see if you are colorblind before? Chances are you have, and you already know if you are colorblind or not. If you are colorblind odds are that you are male since most genes related to colorblindness are on the X chromosome. Most colorblind people are that way because of genetics, but it can also be caused by eye, brain, or optic nerve damage. Exposure to certain chemicals can also cause colorblindness.

3 Main Types of Genetic Colorblindness

Common alcoholic beverages contain ethanol, a central nervous system depressant. The word alcohol can refer to a large number of organic compounds besides ethanol, but in this paper the term alcohol will be used synonymously with ethanol. The earliest evidence of alcohol use was around 9000 years ago in Northern China. Jars which were used to store wine were found at an old Chinese settlement named Jaihu, founded in 7000 BC, flooded and subsequently abandoned in 5800 BC. Analysis of the Jars by scientists at the University of Pennsylvania found residue of an alcoholic drink made from rice, honey, and hawthorn berries. The alcoholic drink was made using a specific type of mold to break down rice carbohydrates into simple sugars which could then be fermented (9000-year).

Marijuana is considered a psychedelic hallucinogen. Psychedelics alter thought processes and perceptions of reality. The earliest evidence of marijuana use can be traced back to an ancient burial site in present day Romania where burned marijuana seeds were discovered. The earliest evidence besides the site discovered in Romanian, is in China where seed and leaf fragments were discovered alongside a mummified shaman found in the northwestern Xinjiang region of China, and identified to be 2500 years old (Hong-En, 2006). Marijuana has been used medicinally in China since at least 28 BC, where it was used to treat constipation, female weakness, gout, malaria, rheumatism, and absent mindedness (Voth, 1997).
Ethanol is a very small organic molecule that is able to easily permeate the blood brain barrier, and reach all areas of the brain. Alcohol has been used as a pain killer, an expectorant, to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases (La Porte, 1985), to lower blood pressure (Gillman, 1995), to help people with diabetes (Kopper, 2005), decrease stress and depression (Lipton, 1994), temporarily relieve anxiety (Chastain, 2006), and more.

Marijuana contains many cannabinoids, which bind to cannabis receptors; at least 66 cannabinoids have already been isolated in marijuana. The most well known cannabinoid is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is considered the primary psychoactive component of the marijuana plant. There are many...

Scientists are debating the idea of using psychedelic drugs in a therapeutic fashion to treat a number of serious medical conditions including alcoholism. Studies have found success using psychedelics to treat conditions including post traumatic stress disorder, drug addiction, obsessive compulsive disorder, and cluster headaches. Scientists in the past few decades have had difficulty finding funding to conduct psychedelic research, but stronger financial support has paved the way for a resurgence of psychedelic studies. Funding is largely provided by two organizations, The Heffter Research institute, and The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). This article will focus on how psychedelic drugs are used to treat alcoholism.

Canadian psychiatrists Abram Hoffer and Humphry Osmond experimented with giving psychedelic drugs to alcoholics in the 1950s. At the time the prevailing philosophy was that addicts did better after hitting 'rock bottom'; the researchers thought that LSD and mescaline would scare addicts away from drinking after having a bad trip. Instead of having a bad trip most of the addicts had a pleasurable experience, leading them to see things in their life in a new way, and enabling them to control their drinking. Their studies showed a high success rate in helping alcoholics quit drinking using LSD and mescaline.
Neuroscience research has found that LSD disrupts the circuitry maintaining alcohol addiction, and allows the addict to escape from the addiction cycle... Won't people just become addicted to psychedelics? No, at least not physically addicted. Psychedelics do not cause dopamine to be released on the nucleus accumbens, and therefore by definition are not physically addictive. Can't recreational use cause permanent schizophrenia or psychosis? Nope, that is just another drug rumor. Psychedelics can unmask symptoms of schizophrenia for people who already have or are developing schizophrenia, but it doesn't cause any person with normal brain functioning to develop schizophrenia or psychosis.

Psychedelics have proven successful in treating alcoholics who had failed other methods of controlling their drinking. When LSD and talk therapy were combined it proved successful in helping over half the people remain sober for over two years. Another study had a ninety percent success rate treating alcoholism using the same method. These are very high success rates for something so difficult to treat like alcoholism. Many of the people in the study claimed that the LSD treatment had saved their lives.

Tag cloud plugin for B2evolution blogs (Like my site)
http://forums.b2evolution.net/viewtopic.php?t=17848
This link goes to the flash tag cloud by user Sam2kb at the b2evo forums. It is the most recently updated, and highest rated tag cloud available for the b2evo blog. There are three different tag cloud plugins available for the B2evolution blog at the B2evo plugin directory (http://plugins.b2evolution.net/). This plugin is simple to install, it is the standard b2evo plugin installation. You upload the plugin to your server, install it and set options in backoffice, then add the tag cloud widget where you want it to appear on your blog. The options for it allow you to control the size of text, rotation speed, and other parameters. The tags automatically update with new keywords as blog entries are posted.

Tag cloud plugin for Wordpress blogs
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-cumulus/
There are numerous tag clouds designed for Wordpress blogs. If you don't like the tag cloud I suggest search Google and I am sure you will be able to find one you like. I think this is the best because it is one of the nicest looking tag clouds around, easy to install, and customizable. One thing I don't like about it is that you cannot control the text size, it is automatically set based on the height and width settings. Tags do automatically update as new posts are written.
